About Al-Amal Microfinance Bank (AMB)
Al-Amal Microfinance Bank (AMB) is the first Microfinance bank in Yemen and MENA region. It was established under the Yemeni Law (23) of 2002, and is regulated and supervised by the Central Bank of Yemen. AMB is a non-dividend financial institution. It seeks to provide sustainable financial services to impoverished groups in Yemen, including low- and limited-income people, with particular emphasis on SME entrepreneurs. The Bank serves these groups by providing comprehensive financial services meeting their needs: Loans, saving, insurance, internal and external transfers, currency exchange and cash transfers.
Al Amal Microfinance Bank announces the need for qualified employees to fill the position of: Projects & International Partnerships Officer.
Geographical scope: Aden Governorate
Line Manager: Partnerships and International Cooperation Manager.
**Job Summary**
The role involves managing relations with both International and Local organizations associated with the Bank's objectives to expand opportunities for collaboration and foster partnerships to unlock valuable opportunities with INGOs/NGOs working to implement impactful humanitarian and development projects in Yemen.
**Specific Tasks and Duties**
- Contribution to setting goals for the department while ensuring their implementation aligns with the Bank’s strategic plan.
- Identify opportunities for forming international strategic partnerships, assess requests for collaborations between the Bank and various entities, and evaluate the effectiveness of these partnerships in achieving the Bank's strategic goals.
- Conduct Regular Field visits to Current Partners and potential partners to utilize available opportunities to achieve the department's goals.
- Coordinate with Government Entities to ensure that necessary arrangements and requirements for project implementation are in place
- Monitor the evaluation process of existing agreements to assess the project team's performance to fulfill the partner's requirements.
- Fulfillment of agreement and partnership terms, addressing any implementation issues in collaboration with the involved parties.
- Maintain effective communication channels with organizations with which agreements have been established, fostering strong relationships.
- Ensure that all agreements and the records of international partners are regularly updated and securely stored in a dedicated database for international partnerships.
- Perform any tasks assigned to the international Partnerships and Cooperation Department.
**Job Requirements**
- A bachelor's degree in relevant social sciences, public relations, business admin/ management, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience working in NGOs (within an international context).
- Knowledge in proposal writing and reporting.
- Outstanding interpersonal, diplomatic, and persuasive skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Compassionate, confident, dynamic, and self-driven individual with a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and adapt swiftly to change.
Strong people management, project management, and leadership abilities.
