SALARY GRADE: According to SIF’S National Staff Salary Scale

Purpose of the Position

Under overall supervision of Program Officer, Distribution Assistant will be responsible of supervising, reporting, planning and organizing the processes of distribution in the field.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Train, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of subordinate staff / volunteers. 
• Support the program team in the beneficiaries registration process and during the field trips to the activities sites.
• Supervise the daily flow of commodities to beneficiaries.
• Supervise the maintaining of sanitary and orderly warehouse and storage facilities.
• Ensure that all equipment and supplies are available for the assigned period/daily operation/s on the Warehouse. 
• Ensure goods and SIF’s items are stored in good conditions.
• Assist the program team in writing the activity reports and any other tasks requested by the supervisor.
• Prepare the plan for cash disbursement and prepare distribution lists, attendance sheets and arrange cash distributions.
• Responsible for preparing the volunteers contracts alongside their CVs, IDs, certificates, and college degrees.
• Responsible for filling up the volunteers hire request form on a daily basis.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferably in administration/Management/equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in project implementation or a related field. 
• English Language is an advantage.
• Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Excel and Word, as well as electronic communication.
• Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
